As someone with Alopecia, nothing works better for brows that last all day!
Due to a thyroid condition I lost all the hair on my face and, including my eyelashes and eyebrows. So my makeup routine has changed significantly in the last 4 years. Starting with a completely blank canvas every morning definitely has its challenges, and having no eyebrows at all has been my biggest struggle. Eyebrows frame you’re entire face, they are the primary components in facial expression and have a huge impact on how we communicate non-verbally, which is over 75% of our communication. I was born with a condition that resulted in the small bones in my inner ear not to form properly and I spent the first years of my life unable to hear. Although surgeries were able to provide approx 60% hearing ability later on, as an infant, the method of communication I depended on was non-verbal, unlike most babies. Still to this day, my communication depends on what I feel and see, not what I hear, and eyebrows play a huge role in my ability to understand what someone is trying to communicate. I don’t mind not having eyelashes, but eyebrows actually have a significant impact on my ability to properly communicate with the world around me,domething most people don’t even realize how important their eyebrows are for more than just the beauty aspect.I have tried thousands of eyebrow products from pen, pencils, pomades, even sticker brows trying to create eyebrows that look like my natural hairs. Even when I found products I was satisfied with, my oily skin would have my brows gone by noon. I wish I could thank her in person, because it was her review left on a different product on Amazon that led me to discover the Thank Me Later primer. I know it’s mainly designed to be used as an eyeshadow primer, but this primer has been my holy grail for keeping my “eyebrows” looking just as good at the end of the day as when I first step out in the morning, every time I use it. And because a little goes a long way, I only need to use a tiny amount the size of a sewing push pin head each time, one tube literally lasts me almost 2 years. I bought my first tube at the end of 2018,and today in Aug 2023 I just ordered my 3rd tube, and still have some left in the second one. I just never want to have to go a day without this primer so I decided to have an extra tube on hand in case inflation continues to skyrocket prices like it has been.So for anyone out there looking for a product that can help you to create natural looking eyebrows that stay put for 24 hours, even with oily skin, THIS is your answer. I apply half a pin head size amount to each eyebrow area, (I apply mine using a stencil that I also use to apply a light brown powder with to form a clean, even, defined shape for each eyebrow) I let the primer dry while I apply my under eye concealer, then use my stencil and dab my eyebrow powder (just a shade of eyeshadow I found that matches my natural dark blonde hair as close as possible), then I carefully define the perimeter of each eyebrow with a tiny bit of concealer on a very fine tipped, firm angle brush (by Kat Von D) to give precise definition to each of my brows. I then go in with either my “Snatch and Lift” eyebrow pen or two shades of Kat Von D’s “Signature Brow” pencils and very lightly create individual hair strokes. The Thank Me Later primer with a single spritz of setting spray keeps my brows looking great all day. Nothing else is needed and I don’t have to worry about touch-up throughout the day either.Just a tip for those interested – When I have a night out planned with someone that I know usually leads to some hot, sweaty, face in the pillow all night adult activities, (which as adults, we all know those times can happen) my other secret for brows that stay put for up to 2-3 DAYS or through a wild all-nighter is a final coat of a product called “Model in a Bottle.” It looks like a bottle of pinkish clear nail polish, but it’s the BEST eyebrow sealer I’ve ever found. One swipe and your brows wont budge. Its held my brows in place even through a shower and getting pushed into the pool. =) So there you have it. This primer is one I depend on every single day that allows me to start with no eyebrows at all, to natural looking brows that last until I remove them when I’m ready to. Hopefully my review will help someone else as much as the review I read that led me to discovering this primer years ago. =)

    High Quality Affordable Primer
I’m a professional makeup artist. I typically like something with a little tackiness to allow for color packing, but smooth enough to allow for blending. And this was absolutely perfect. The primer is tinted white, but it isn’t opaque enough to wash you out, just bright enough so it brightens the shades you put over it. The hold is IMPRESSIVE. I used this for the first time for my Halloween Bratz makeup, and wore it for 9 hours with no shift, creasing, or fading.A tiny bit goes a very long way. I like to do my brows first, and then carve the bottom out with concealer and blend it down with a brush, then pat the primer on with my ring finger. I allow it about 30 seconds to start to set before going in with shadow. If you’re wanting to do a high impact look, press the shadow directly into the primer with a denser brush and then blend it out. For a more natural every day look, you can use a cream or skin toned shadow with a fluffy brush to set it.I hope this is helpful!

    Not magic, but not bad
I’m so glad I didn’t just immediately get annoyed and throw this stuff in the trash and write an angry review, because that was my first instinct when I try this primer.I personally like a natural look, and have found tinted primers make me look more natural than heavy foundation makeup. I also have very oily skin that is prone to breakouts and redness. I had been wanting to try this primer for a while now, and finally decided to purchase it when I saw a discount/deal on it.When I first applied it, I thought: “It’s too green” when applied heavily, and “it does nothing at all” when it’s applied too lightly. There is a sweet spot though! I found the best use is to apply it and start to thin it out until a pale teal cast is achieved. Then, let it dry down, and finally, apply loose setting powder. While it didn’t completely hide my breakout, it SIGNIFICANTLY reduced the look of redness, but didn’t make my face look all bumpy and cakey like foundation does. Also, due to my cool complexion, it is nearly impossible for me to find a foundation that doesn’t look too yellow or orange, but with this product, I don’t need foundation at all. It gives me just enough coverage to correct the redness that would definitely show through a foundation applied as lightly as I applied this primer, while also allowing my freckles to shine through. This is now my go-to solution for breakouts, redness, and general imperfections. I recommend pairing it with Ciaté “Extraordinary” translucent powder for an extra “blurring” effect to camouflage breakouts.Oddly enough, when I washed my face, it didn’t come off green; it was like a peachy skin color on my way cloth. I don’t know what that’s about, but not what I had expected and may have been oxidation or something.

    Works really well.
The price was very reasonable so I was a little skeptic on how it was going to perform but to my surprise, it worked great. It held up all day and the makeup stayed right where it should be. After applying it, I give it a minute or two before applying my eyeshadow. I even use it for under my eyes and then apply my under eye makeup and it works very well for that.

    Primed!
I really like this product . It works well on mature skin. It’s light and the color helps to conceal any undesirable lid color without being too heavy or too pigmented. It seems to last at least eight hours and is good with either a powder or a cream.

    Fabulous
I’m 75 years old and have wrinkles. I haven’t use foundation for decades because we I don’t like the heavy, caked feeling or appearance. I was hesitant to purchase this “foundation”, but thought I would give it a try to use under my Laura Geller baked powder makeup. I love it! It’s light, blends into my skin easily, and holds my powdered foundation in place. Does not accentuate my wrinkles, nor settle into them. It washes off easily at the end of the day. It does not dry out my skin. I’ll will buy it again.

I’ve tried quite a few eye primers in my day mainly because I tend to have oily eyelids. I don’t particularly wear a lot of eye makeup so I’m not coating my eyes with a lot of different layers of eyeshadows like some Youtubers will do but having said that, I believe that whether you use a little makeup or a lot, I feel that your eyelids can still benefit from using an eye primer.I actually just use a matte foundation (Revlon Colorstay for Combo Skin) on my forehead area and I bring it down around my brows and down onto my eyelids and then a little under my eyes around my lashes just so that I have an even matte type of look. My skin is clear enough that I don’t need to use foundation to even things out on the rest of my face. After I lightly blend some foundation onto those aforementioned areas with my fingers (yes that’s right, I don’t need nor do I use a brush or a sponge for that), I will take a very small dab of eye primer (and I mean the size of one of those sewing pins that has a rounded ball tip on it) and I put some on my left middle finger and then I take my right middle finger and tap them together to evenly disperse the product on my fingers and then I take my left finger and tap my left eyelid while my right finger taps my right eyelid and I lightly go over each eyelid. I then put a light dusting of pressed translucent powder (Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless) onto my eyelids and forehead to set everything. I mostly don’t use eyeshadow but when I do that would be the next step. Anyhow, after that, I put on my gel eye liner with a brush and then I add some mascara (Essence Lash Princess) and I call my eyes done. Later on in the evening when I remove my eye makeup which is a good 12-14 hours later, I always take a good look at my eyelids and I check and double check and honestly they are ALWAYS set perfectly where there is no oil or creasing of any kind. It literally looks like I just did my eye makeup. THAT is a testament to how good this product is. It reminds me so much of the Tarte one that I loved. In the past I’ve used Milani’s eye primer in the little grey tube with the black lid but unfortunately it creased on my eyes even with my simple makeup routine, so whether or not I used eyeshadow, it didn’t matter because my eyelids would crease and/or look oily. Didn’t really get any success with one of the ELF eye primers. It was the wand in a tube type. This was years ago so I can’t remember the full name of it…Up until now my holy grail eye primer was the Tarte Cosmetics Clean Slate 360 Creaseless 12-Hour Smoothing Eye Primer but naturally the company discontinued it (insert very angry eye roll). I then tried the NYX Proof It Eyeshadow Primer (note: the black and white tube and packaging looked almost identical to the NARS eye primer which BTW, I have not tried and is still available AND very pricey) and I loved that and used that for a good long while but unfortunately that company also discontinued that eye primer. WTH? Anyway, I also moved on and tried and liked the Hard Candy Eye’s The Limit Eyeshadow Primer in the tube and happily used that and as far as I know, it’s still available online here and there. It’s really close to the Tarte and NYX eye primers. So, fast forward to me browsing around the internet to see what’s out there and I noticed the reviews and packaging of the Elizabeth Motte Thank Me Later Eye Primer. My curiosity got me. I like that it comes in a tube. I do like the little wand/.brush in the NYX packaging but if I had to pick one over the other I would go for my eye primer being in the soft squeeze type of tube component.***I’m editing this to explain why I prefer a soft squeeze tube. One of the reasons is that on two separate occasions, my NYX Proof It Eye Primers fell out of my bathroom cabinet and onto the floor, shattering the bottoms of the plastic components. One of them was about 1/3 full so there was a good amount of product left while the other one was newly opened so it was nearly full of primer product and such a waste. Both were unsalvageable because of the condition of the cracked and damaged plastic. Secondly, I feel that the squeezability of a soft tube helps you control what comes out, thus being able to squeeze out a round pin-tip sized amount, a pea sized amount or something even larger etc.. You also have to consider that anything with a wand inadvertently forces some amount of air into the product every time you open it and close it. In my opinion, soft tubes have such a small opening that the amount of air that can seep into the product when you open the cap is virtually nil.I noticed a review somewhere where someone was using eyeshadow/eyelid primer and they said it was sticky or too oily for their eyelids and their eyelids creased and I just have to think of how people tend to overuse things. A little dab will do you. For example, I saw one Youtuber putting on concealer over top of her eyelids and under her eyes etc and it looked like she was icing a cake. And then she blotted it with a damp sponge so yes, some of it was removed and melded into the sponge but I found it to be too excessive for a smooth finish. So, before you knock a product, try using it in different ways just to see if you’re over using it etc…I love the Elizabeth Mott Thank Me Later Eye Primer and I am hoping like heck she doesn’t discontinue it…my little heart can’t take much more…lol

I have super oily monolids and this has been the only solution to make my eye makeup stay all day.

Radical pour s’assurer que son eyeliner tienne toute la soirée. Creme douce qui ne laisse pas de traces ou film blanchâtre.
