    Awesome Makeup Remover
I love skincare and always double cleanse. I had a great facial cleanser (2nd step) but I was looking for an effective oil based cleanser to help break down/melt my waterproof mascara (1st step). I normally use Banila Co cleansing balm, but sometimes it wouldn’t completely break down the waterproof mascara. I loved this oil cleanser from The Face Shop because it was a light oil consistency that melted any dirt off my skin without making my skin feel dry. I have dry, sensitive skin so this felt very cleansing, gentle, and nourishing on my skin. Highly recommend!

How To Achieve the 10 Step Korean Beauty Routine in 8 Steps or Less (List of Products in Order)
I recently began a quest for all the beauty products needed to achieve the youthful, dewy look ever popular in Korea in anticipation of my wedding day. (Yes, I’m an American who watches a lot of Kdramas and became supremely jealous of Kon Joon-He’s character in “She Was Pretty.”) I’ve had a fantastic experience with the new skin care regimen: huge reduction in blemishes, almost completely eliminated the pimples!!!–I just get one or two during my period–evened skin tone, and overall a cleaner, softer face. Since it’s been so overwhelming to research every step on my own, I’m providing a list of all the winners so far, and in what order of the skin care/makeup routine to use them in. Hopefully this is helpful for anyone who wants to venture into the world of Korean skin care but isn’t sure where to start. **Indicates the product in review.1. Cleanser – The Face Shop: Rice Water Bright**Apply this to dry, unwashed skin and gently rub in circles to fully cleanse your face. Works as a makeup remover, but I’d recommend a different product for eye makeup removal. Rinse the oil off with lukewarm water. This is the perfect, gentle cleanser for sensitive, mixed oily/dry skin, like mine. It has a very faint smell of rice water. Not surprising, considering that’s what it is. A little goes a long way, so one pump is usually enough for my entire face. Be careful not to carry it sideways in a makeup kit if the pump gets loose. I made the mistake of doing that, and got all my other products coated in rice water cleanser. 😉 Oh, and that little plastic thing on the pump pops right off. It took me forever to figure it out. I kept twisting and unscrewing and finally realised you just pull the little plastic piece right off and then snap it back on when you’re done for the night. :P2. Toner/Refresher – Etude House 10-in-1 House Wonder Pore FreshenerTightens pores, and purifies skin. Apply to a cotton pad or cotton balls and then to face. Let dry.3. Moisturiser – Skin Food Peach Sake EmulsionPretty self-explanatory. Apply right after the toner sets in to feed your face with some moisture.4. Serum – Skin Food Peach Sake Pore SerumA slightly more concentrated moisturiser to apply after the first. Yes, Koreans have many steps (most of them moisturising ones) in their beauty routine, I’ve learned. But it really does amazing things to your skin. And once you get the hang of it, applying all these products every night doesn’t really take a whole lot of extra time. It also cuts back on my makeup routine in the morning, because when my skin is naturally healthy, clear, and soft, I’d rather show it off than cover it up. ;)5. Night Cream – Nature Republic Fresh Green TeaNOTE: This particular product is not sold on Amazon. I had to buy it on sale at my local Korean market because I was too scared to order anything over $10 that I wasn’t sure about. But you can find any number of night creams here for the final step. I recommend something with green tea or aloe. Just apply at night onto clean, pampered skin, rub it in thoroughly, and sleep on it!Other Cosmetics/Extras I Found Useful/Worth Purchasing:Facial Scrub – Skin Food Black Sugar MaskUse twice a week for a deeper facial cleanse than you regular cleanser. Apply a little, gently exfoliate, leave on, rinse off. If it goes on too thick, use a little water or toner to make it easier to scrub in.CC Cream – Lioele Dollish CC Cera-VCC Creams are much like BB Creams, (not a cream to match your skin colour, but a transparent foundation/primer) but if my experience with the two I’ve tried is any indication, CC Creams give more coverage and make the skin look more bright, white, and luminescent, rather than simply evening out the skin tone and providing SPF. Apply before any colour foundations.Highlighter – Etude House Secret Beam Highlighter #1 Pink & White MixTo be brushed on over foundation in key spots to brighten the face even further. Goes on like a sheer fairy dust–just a bit of sparkle, but not like glitter. This isn’t for a Labyrinth Masquerade ball, you know. ;)Face Mist – Innisfree Green Tea Mineral MistFace Mist is something you apply whenever you choose, before or after makeup, to keep your face hydrated and fresh throughout the day. I carry a bottle in my purse and spritz a little on whenever I feel my face is tired. 🙂 This particular mist I haven’t tried yet, because my order hasn’t arrived, but I bought a Nature Republic bamboo mist from my local Korean market, and I love it a lot.Products I Didn’t Think Worth the Fuss:Face Masks- These are a huge hit in Korea, and they’re fun to wear around the house to get a rise out of family members who think you look creepy. But for me they’re too sticky, drippy, and overrated. I prefer the clay masks or avocado masks that you have to wash off after.Expensive Serums, Essence, Bee Toxin… anything over $20 a bottle I passed up. As I’ve discovered, you can get really great results with just the five things I listed above, and none of them are over $15. Most are under $10.

    Better than most cleansing oils
What is so amazing about this product is that it actually works. I have used many cleansing oils from extremely high end to drugstore options. I have many that I love and many that I do not. This has an extremely thin, liquidy texture, so you have to be prepared for that. It is almost like water. Do not let that deter you from buying this product. What makes this so good is that it thoroughly cleanses your skin and removes make up exceptionally well. I like it so much I double cleanse with it at night especially if my skin is feeling dry. This is a super lightweight oil that could be used by anyone with any skin type. There is a slight fragrance. I do not find this to be bad however, it could be improved. I find that it is not that big of a deal because I will continue to use this product because it works very well. I have used cleansing balms in the past, but they can feel so heavy. This is super light weight on the skin and leaves behind no residue. I feel that is what makes this product a true gem and also not having any residual makeup on my face after cleansing. I would recommend this to anyone even if someone just has dry skin and wants a good cleanser. This is a great one. This is great for all skin types. My skin can lean on the side of sensitive, and the fragrance does not irritate my skin. I still feel that it could be improved. That is my only complaint. Great oil cleanser. Will definitely be re-purchasing.

    I like it
I use this as my first cleanse in the shower so it stays in the shower. You put on dry hands to dry face and it removes makeup very well, then i go in with my double cleanser of choice depending what I need that day, actives or no actives.

    Good for makeup/clogged pores
This cleansing oil… I use it every single day I happen to come home with makeup, and honestly? I love this stuff, it’s super good at getting mascara off and even other makeup products like concealer, lip gloss, etc.. It’s a very light but slippery texture, it’s not sticky or as slippery as most oils though. I am not a fan of oily textures to the touch, but this one is easy to wash off and cleans my face very well.Pros:- Nice texture, not too slippery or sticky- Cleans makeup even better than some makeup removers, removes mascara/eyeliner pretty effortlessly- One pump is enough for one use- Comes with a lock piece for the pump to lock the pump- Thoroughly cleans out pores/good for double cleanseCons:- Very runny and almost watery- May sting your eyesI have severe acne in some regions on my face and this does not irritate or clog my acne either. I just appreciate that it can remove something as pesky as mascara first try to where I do not have to go over it again with a cotton pad and regular makeup remover. I would buy again, as this is a high quality and cheap cleansing oil as your first step of your routine, and I’d highly recommend!

    Pretty okay…
Very very thin oil, much thinner than the softymo one. I love the thin consistency however the fragrance is STRONG. It smells really good honestly and I’d love a perfume in this scent it is just not nice on the skin. Burns the eyes unlike other oils I have used. It does remove makeup SO WELL. I’ve been using it for 1-2 weeks and it gave me random redness/rashed skin??? In summary, I’m torn and don’t know if it suits me enough to continue using sadly.

Te ayuda a remover hasta el maquillaje mas difícil. No reseca la piel, tampoco genera brotes y lo mejor tiene un holor super rico

I have found this cleansing oil to be a valuable addition to my nightly skincare routine. This product is lightweight, gentle on the skin, and effectively removes impurities. For those with sensitive skin, this product is a win. Its gentleness means it won’t cause irritation or allergic reactions, which is a major plus. It’s worth noting that it has lasted me 4 months with daily use – impressive longevity which offers good value for its price. However, one small drawback that I’ve encountered is some eye irritation. It’s unclear whether this is due to the oil cleanser or the face wash I use afterward, but it’s something to keep in mind when using this product. This cleansing oil fulfills its claims and should definitely be taken into consideration. I am excited to keep using it as part of my skincare routine.

Those who have given in on the new trend of double cleansing would definitely like this. I was searching for a good oil cleanser and I think my search have ended. This is a very light oil cleanser so no need to worry about pore cloging. This melts your makeup even waterproof mascara in minutes. I used to avoid using waterproof mascara as I couldn’t remove mascara fully but this cleanser just removes it so easily.I know this is a korean product and most of there products are so good but this is definitely a game changer.I used to breakout whenever I used to apply makeup as the makeup couldn’t get out pf my pores by just using a micellar water. Now I use this cleanser and when I apply water is get milky like a milk cleanser and washes off your makeup easily. I also use a milk cleanser after this so no makeup is left.It claims to give a brightning effect but I would just say that I didn’t notice anything like that, but people might think that, as you remove all the gunk and all the oxidized makeup off your face. Now, speaking of the price of the product, it is a little expensive for the amount but it is less than any other oil cleanser in our market. Besides it is totally worth the price, but for a college student like me it can be a little costly. All the other things aside just buy it during an offer you will be good to go.

  10. Buen producto

I have mixed skin and used this for double cleansing every night, a bottle lasted for around two months using 2-3 pumps per wash. I really loved the scent but I can understand it can be too much for some people. Overall I think it is a great product, left my face all soft and with a fresh feeling, oil is very lightweight and does not leave any residue (although I used a water based cleanser after).
